Lauren Loves Grandma & Grandpa Goias!

Lorraine's parents, Tom and Elaine, left the Santa Ana winds and 80 degree weather of Southern California today to head back home to Ohio - back in time to catch a few blustery days of winter in the 30s. Lauren has been very lucky to have such loving and dedicated grandparents - they were there every day for the first month of her life. Tom and Elaine arrived 10 days before Lauren's birth so they were able to see their daughter late in her third trimester (this picture was taken in between contractions just before we left for the hospital)...

During their stay here, Lorraine and I (and Lauren) definitely benefited from their assistance in getting things done around the house and helping to get into a groove as new parents. It was very comforting knowing that we had support so close while we were figuring everything out. But first and foremost, we enjoyed watching them with Lauren...

They are both now back home in Cincinnati - safe and sound. They now get to see their grandson, Lauren's cousin, Russell. Doting grandparents' job is never done!...

And Russell can't wait to see his Grandma and Grandpa. He is still trying to figure out how they fit into that technological masterpiece the telephone. Mommy and Russ will be going down tomorrow to visit through the weekend.

Well, Aunt Rochelle here
(Lori's 1st cousin's wife who lives in NJ). I actually have been able to read your entire "Baby Blog" today in its entirety because I have NOTHING TO STUDY FOR! That's right...I took my NCLEX on Wednesday and found out that I am officially, a Registered Nurse. Finally. I will actually earn a W2 this year. Most of my books are on amazon.com! Enough about me though...Lauren is absolutely gorgeous. Everyone looks great, too and glad to learn everyone is feeling well, too! Congratulations and thank you for sharing these little joys with us...that is what life is all about. Precious little things...babies, pets, gourmet coffee, grandparents, and family. Happy Belated New Year to all. Health and Happiness.
Much love,
Rochelle Dimler, RN, BSN
(had to do it just once...)

We loved sharing this endearing time with daughter, son-in-law and new grandchild. The doting job shall continue....be prepared. This is better than being parents (we are now the "good guys!" Love, Mom and Dad
