Welcome Lucy!

Lucy Sohl Young Lee was born Wednesday, February 23, 2011, at 12.26pm. Measuring 7 lbs, 4 oz, and 19 inches long. She arrived 10 days early but not soon enough. Lorraine did a wonderful job over the past 38 weeks, enduring a very tough pregnancy, and we were awarded with an easy delivery and a beautiful, healthy daughter. So a brief recap of the events:

- Labor contractions started 10 mins apart on Tue night around 8pm
- By midnight, they were 4 mins apart and we left for the hospital
- Friend and neighbor, Cruz, came over at that time to monitor a sleeping Lauren
- Aunt Helen graciously drove 45 mins down from L.A. to relieve Cruz and watch Lauren
- Lorraine was admitted to the hospital around 1am Wednesday
- Labor continued, epidural administered, and the waiting continued...for 11 hrs
- Lorraine began "pushing" around 12pm, and after 4 easy pushes, Lucy entered our world - crying loud and commanding attention
- On Thurday, Aunt Helen and Lauren came to visit the hospital; Lauren has been wonderful with Lucy; constantly says "I'm a big sister!"
- Friday 10am, discharged from hospital and headed home

Thank you to everyone who provided support and encouragement during the past 9 months. It was definitely challenging and we couldn't have done this without all the help we received.

Two Weeks and Counting

We anxiously await Lucy's arrival but until then, we are keeping busy with preparations for her debut. Lauren is enjoying these last few moments of normalcy as that's all going to change once she becomes a big sister. Stay tuned!

We had a birthday party for Lauren a week after her actual 4th birthday at Scooter's Jungle with a few of our close friends and family. She had a fabulous time and we were so happy to do something special for her after what has been a pretty rough year for all of us with my challenging pregnancy : )
















Christmas 2010

My family was missed as well as JohnDawn but we had a quaint low-key Christmas this year with Grandma & Grandpa Lee and Aunt Helen & Uncle Bruce. Lauren made out like crazy, as usual. She is really into Disney Princesses, dinosaurs, and planets/solar system and everyone, including Santa, catered to such interests.









It's sad to admit but I don't have any photos to post from this year yet. I'm nearing the end of my pregnancy and we have been busy with preparing for Lucy's arrival and settling Lauren into her new big girl room. Stay tuned for the main event coming soon...
