Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays, everyone. We had a family celebration last night with gift exchange and dinner on Christmas Eve. Given that we had both sets of grandparents, my brother, sister, and their significant others together here in California, and that this would be the first Christmas for all of us with Lauren, you can only image that only a "couple" of gifts would be exchanged...
Our dinner was a nice Korean-American fusion - honey-baked ham plus fixin's Ohio-style and Korean "kalbi" (BBQ ribs) and "jahp chae" brought down from L.A. There's something to be said about having a "Christmas BBQ" in California in 70 degree weather. It was quite the spread and fantastic company...
Among great family, friends, and fab food, Lauren, of course, was the constant center of attention (how could she not be?)...

Well you can't expect Lauren not to be beautiful with the blood line she has been blessed with.It's amazing how the grandparents look so young and good looking.
We have been so fortunate to be here for the birth of Lauren especially Elaine has she was able to be in the birthing room with Henry in helping with the deliver. Oh yes, the doctor and nurses were there too and helped!
We also are happy to be here so that we could be able to take some of the load off of Lorraine and Henry. They are the most conscientous parents we have every seen. Tom and Elaine
She is so beautiful, as we all expected she would be! You all look wonderful - grandparents included - and seem to have had a glowing Christmas. I am looking forward to meeting the little bugger and to seeing my dear cousins. You're in my thoughts! All my love. Erica.
