Introducing Baby Lauren

Lauren entered into our lives last night, Sunday, December 10th at 7.09pm, weighing in at 7 lbs, 3 oz, and stretching out to a "long 19 inches". Lorraine and Lauren are doing well and send their hellos. Thanks to many of you who have called and left kind words for the three of us. We have one more night at the hospital tonight and will be back home on Tue afternoon so we'll be getting back to you all later this week. Due to the many requests over the past 24 hours, however, I am pleased to take a couple of minutes to upload pictures (I will provide the accommpanying commentary later). Besides, I just came home for a few minutes to pick up some items and really must get back to my new family. "New family" - sounds wonderful...

LAUREN

This has been a wonderful (and exhausting) past 36 hours. As always, with Lorraine and me, there's always going to be a series of comedic events that I can only shake my head at right now as I recount them in my head. I'll share more later this week. Bye for now!

I am still speechless! When I first saw my niece (I still can't believe it) I began cry. I am getting teary-eyed as I write this. She's so beautiful. Could I expect any less from Lorraine and Henry. Congratulations mama and papa, and great job on the delivery date!

She looks so much like Henry! (Which is to say she's gorgeous.) Libby, Martin, and I can't wait to meet her soon. Enjoy the adventure!

Lor and Henry,

YEAH!!!! Now we can celebrate with a little Baileys! We can't wait to see all three of you so hurry up and get home. Noah and Grace can't wait to see "Uncle Henry and Aunt Lori" and their new cousin, Lauren. And she's beautiful, by the way. She and Noah are only 8 years apart and aren't really cousins so...I'm just sayin....

Love,
Kiers, Scott, Noah and Grace

P.S. Libby and I were singing her favorite song L-I-B-B-Y (to B-I-N-G-O), and we made a new verse in honor of Lauren: "There was a girl who had a new friend named Lauren, and Libby was her name-o." (Hey, Cole Porter I ain't, but it fits if you sing it fast enough.)

I didn't notice it at first, but Lauren's smiling in one of the pictures. She's gonna break some hearts with that smile. :)

H&L,
Rang on Sunday to see if there was news and obviously you were right in the middle of creating it! Lots of congratulations and love from Ashley, Gina, Nicky and Ani!

um...YAY! Super excited for you all - and pretty happy Lorraine's days of discomfort are at a pause (I say this cautiously!). She is fabulously beautiful! My favorite photo, to date, is the one where Lorraine is lovingly, with admiration, kissing Lauren and she is sticking out her tongue! Good job, girlie, we are going to be great friends! Much love, Erica.

She is so precious! She's a beauty and Hen, you better watch out b/c the boys will be lining up at the door. You have a couple years to prepare.

Congratulations!

Love,
Mar
