Lauren's "Firsts"

There have been a series of exciting milestones recently for our growing daughter. First, she was baptized at her Ohio grandparents' church in Cincinnati. Here's a video snapshot:



Yesterday, Lauren was able to pick up a small "puff" between her forefinger and thumb and feed herself:



Today, Lauren even crawled forward. She's been crawling backwards for the past week, wedging herself under the sofas, into bookcases, but now it looks as if she can get herself out:

Lauren's New 'Do and Fast Cars

Check out Lauren's new haircut (courtesy of her mother). Doesn't she look more girly? Also interesting is her new found attachment to Matchbox cars (that's a London taxi in one hand and a Hummer in the other). If you look at the previous entry, you'll see her playing with Russell's cars in several pictures while we were in Ohio. Lorraine bought these just for her. Good job, Mum.

We are back from Ohio and have lots of photos to share with all of you so I'll just get right to it!

My sister's little boy, Russell, was baptized on August 12th. Here is a photo of Russell with Henry, who is honored to be Godfather to our sweet little nephew.

I'm so happy to be at Grandma and Grandpa's house!


Lauren was baptized on August 18th at Christ the King Lutheran Church in Cincinnati, Ohio. It was a lovely service shared with family and friends. Here is a picture of us with Pastor Betsy who warmly welcomed our family on this special day for Lauren.

Christine, Henry, and I took Russell (13 months olds) and Lauren (8 months old) to BabiesRUs for their first photo shoot together to commemorate their baptisms.
