Is Bounty really the Quicker Picker-Upper?

Because it seemed as though I had a lot of picking up to do after this good time had by Lauren!

I was talking to my sister-in-law, Helen, on the phone while making dinner and Lauren kept herself busy in the Bumbo chair on the kitchen countertop beside me. She was so busy with this paper towel roll that she actually exhausted herself. Look at her ... she's beat!

Henry came home from work and, within minutes, this was cleaned up expeditiously. Good thing I took a photo before he walked through the door ... sigh. I blame my husband's need for order on his years spent at West Point.

Catching up with good friends

Breakfast with the Becketts of Seattle
Henry's longtime friend, Susie, and her husband, Kurt, were busy in SoCal visiting family and friends so we were lucky enough to meet up with them this past Saturday. Lauren met Susie and Kurt for the first time and enjoyed seeing new friendly faces. She loved grabbing at Susie's hand and playing with her sparkling bracelet. It was wonderful to see them both and hope to again very soon.




Lunch with the Hines of Ohio
Maryann Hines and her mom are in the OC visiting her sister, Sueann, and we all got together for lunch today along with Sueann's daughter, Eve. Maryann last saw Lauren in Ohio when she was three months old and is amazed at how big she is getting. Lauren took to Maryann immediately and made Maryann's lap her happy and content home for the next two hours while we all lunched. Also, it was so much fun to see Lauren interact with Eve, who is almost four. Lauren LOVES Eve. She giggles and laughs so hard when Eve plays with her ... it's so very sweet to see her "talking" with Eve. Thanks for a wonderful afternoon, Hines Family!
