We Have Poop

As Henry was traveling for work and Lauren had time off from preschool, I decided to buckle down and get on with the next phase of our lives here in the Lee Family Household. Yes, this means potty training. Hard-core, complete committment. We started Thursday. That day, both Lauren and I shed sweat and tears and maybe had a word or two with one another but today ... today made the past four days completely worth all the trials and tribulations. Three pee-pees and one poopy on the potty today. I don't think this parent could be any more proud. With yet another milestone under our belt, it feels like Lauren is growing up so fast. Henry is already worrying about the boys she is going to bring home : )

A Quick Recap

It's been a while since we have blogged but, you know, the holidays and all...

Lauren's 3rd Birthday at Pretend City:

We kept her birthday party very small on purpose as Lauren does better in small groups right now. She celebrated with friends - Sophia, Katarina, Grace, Alex, and Owen. Lauren had so much fun and we were thankful to celebrate with good friends.

To kick off the holidays, Lauren went to Daddy's work to wish everyone Happy Holidays and to hand out candycanes:

With lots of practice posing for birthday photos, Lauren was all smiles for our little in-house Christmas card photo shoot:

Christmas and New Years - I haven't downloaded photos yet. On to 2010...

Milestone Alert:
I'm not sure which is more extraordinary ... Lauren starting preschool or the fact that Henry finally (after THREE years) got a carseat in his car as he now takes Lauren to school on the way to work. Possibly the latter...

Anyway, Lauren started preschool on Monday and she was so excited! She chatted about school and teachers and children and learning and her Hello Kitty lunch box all weekend long. A few photos of her before Daddy took her to school:

After they left, I realized how grown-up Lauren is. And then, how quiet the house is when she's not there. And then, got a bit teary. Sigh...
