Happy Birthday, Grandma!

Grandma Goias is here visiting and keeping Lauren and me company while Henry is busy traveling this month. Grandma and Lauren are like peas and carrots ... best buddies from the moment they saw each other at the airport last week. We were waiting for my mom at baggage claim and when we saw her, Lauren ran to Grandma and gave her a big hug and a pat-pat-pat on her back. It was so precious ... the sweetest thing I've seen Lauren do lately : )

We are so excited that Grandma is here and we're THRILLED to be able to celebrate her birthday today with her (in person instead of across the miles as it usually must be).

Lauren and I took Grandma out for lunch today to her favorite restaurant ... Olive Garden (The OG as we like to call it):

My good friend, Sueann, met us for lunch to join in the celebration!

It's Frosty in Southern California

Ever since Grandma Goias gave Lauren a stuffed Frosty (the Snowman) at Christmas, there is a lot of "Thumpety thump thump, Thumpety thump thump, Look at Frosty go" going on in this house. Lauren loves Frosty.

First, we push the button on the stuffed Frosty's foot that plays the Frosty song so that she can get her groove on. We do this about - oh - twenty times a day.

Not only does it play music, there are twinkle lights in the hat that Lauren loves to point at.

Dancing with Frosty...

Next, when stuffed Frosty gets old, we move on to watching the Frosty the Snowman movie.

It's never a dull moment with Frosty on the tube...
